Help On Vans Warped Tour 2009?!?!?
okay so this is my first time going to the Vans Warped Tour.
my date is july 14 at the merriwheater post pavillion in Columbia Maryland.
I have a few questions:
What should I wear?
I want to get their at like 7:45 am (yes crazy early, but I wanna be first to get it.) is that bad?
How do you find out what bands are playing?
the bands I want to see most are:
THE MAINE (deff. #1 reason im going)
Breathe Carolina
Brokencyde
3OH!3
Sing it loud
There for tomorrow
any chances that those will be playing at the same time?
if so, that would suck.
and also, How do I meet those bands?
I really want to meet them, so do I just go to their Tent before or after their set?
and when is the best time to buy merch.

most i have to say is have fun,im going to the show on july 16 in buffalo im going to tell you how it is:
tickets are around like 25.50 and all the taxes so it should come to like 30 something its not that bad but anyways.
ok make sure you get a good nights sleep the night before because your going to need all your energy.wake up at least 2 hours early so im saying around like 9am maybe even 8 take your time with hair and getting dressed,make sure you leave your house early as well due to traffic jams ,its cool to have a friend with you to talk with, so im hoping that you have that,ummm bring a small drawstring bag that goes on your back, it will keep you from carrying way to much that, thats where i went wrong the first time that i went, i had way to much stuff and it ways you down the whole day,i also had my mom drop me and my friend off and stuff because parking like i said kinda hard but not 2 bad.umm as for stuff to wear the day of the show,cool clothes,like tank tops and shorts maybe carpies,jeans in the summer is a no because its way to hott,but if you wanna rock them then go for it. wear sneakers,flats start to hurt after awhile and flip-flops are not cool they just fall off and if you are planning to go in any mosh pits they fall off 2,so wearing sneakers is the best way to go:) umm warped tour is packed with alot of kids but after awhile you wont notice it,i really enjoyed myself the past few times that i went, i got to meet really cool people in the area that had the same likes as me, i got to meet my favorite bands as well as take pictures and stuff,yes there is a line you have to get in there and wait,if you scope the place out first you will see at the merch tables that the bands will have meet and greets at times write down the times if its a popular band you will be waiting there for awhile so get there at least 45mins to 1 hour before they start signing,some people wait there for more then that but its up to you as for what to bring, money is a must, i would say at least 100 to get you by the whole day because there is going to be alot of stuff that your eyes are going to fall in love with and that you are going to wanna get and if you don't have enough money then thats going to suck, merch is cheap at warped tour shirts run at 15 or 20 or just bring the amount of money that you would like,don't bring things that are going to get lost easy like ipod and what ever more you have that you would not wanna lose,cell phone just in case you get lost with the person that you came with and to set up your ride if you need one, ummm bring some water because its really hott, as for the whole cap thing it much be sealed or they wont let you bring it in, drink alot of water so you wont pass out that would not be cool drinks at warped tour can get expensive at times, sunglasses for the sun, sunscreen so that you wont come back home with sunburn,as for the pits there are a few depending on the bands some more hardcore then others,if you wanna get to the very front make sure you get to the stage early like if you ahev to stay for a whole nother bands set do it its worth the wait,you just walk up to the front and get ready for one amazing show,umm yea i think thats it, well thats all that i can think of i hope you have fun this year because i know that i will

I am looking for a cheap discount camping equipment store in birmingham uk anyone know where i can find one?
Hi there planning on going camping in august with friends and am looking for somewhere cheap in birmingham england to get the basics from including tent possibly i have tried the usual places but am looking for other suggestions many thanks

I have had a similar problem myself, living in Birmingham, its not exactly the most outdoor friendly place to live, is it?

Options are quite limited, but here you go.

There is Millets on Union Street (near Boots) - its a shame you ask now because they have just had a cracking 25% of all purchases over £50, refitted my entire kit from this. However they also have 10% discount for people pretending to be a student or D of E, Iv never been asked to show my student ID (although I am). Either way, they always have some kind of sale on and well worth a look through the sale catalogs at the door. I just bought an Ultralight Tent and sleeping bag for less than £70 (thats ULTRA light!)

There is also Blacks, near the the churchyard in the city. This is the same company as Millets, but they run seperate offers, slightly more serious outdoor gear as well. Still 10% off for students etc, but also a 20% discount on all purchases online at the moment!

There is Cotswolds, on new street. VERY good suppliers of outdoor gear, they have everything you could ever needs, but I sense that it is more price that you are looking for... not ultralightweight Tent Cord... lol.

Unusually... there is the pound shop, opposite Millets, they sell a few items that are good for minor things.. although obviously not the essential boot/bag/tent combo.

Argos is a good choice, but the information they provide is often a little pants. But if you dont care how much something weights and dont mind about limited variety, they are a good bet.

Tescos - dont just look in the big shops, pick up one of the freely available Tesco Direct catalogs, some really good cheap as chips camping gear, you can also order stuff over the net or phone and collect it a day or so later from the Tescos store in five ways etc.

Seeing as you have plenty of time to wait for your gear (august) Another option is to look through Millets/Blacks/Cotswolds and then order the same thing from Amazon... some really good stuff cheap on there, but remember to take sales and delivery into account... Millets may still be cheaper!

Without being specific over what you are looking for, thats about as much information as I can provide!

I got a 3 room dome tent from a friend(no poles) name on tent is northern designs by quest serial samt1810?
can't find poles anywhere can someone please help?

Go to a camping supply store and have them cut you poles to measure. You might also try an army surplus store for Tent Poles. I am guessing you need the bendy-flexy ones.

A Google search brought this up:

My husband and I are looking to buy a good tent that can withstand heavy rains. Any suggestions?
We've looked at the Coleman Weathermaster 6 and the Swiss Montreaux Ten Person Family Dome Tent. We don't want to spend more than $250. We also want it to sleep a MINIMUM of 6 people as we hope to have this tent for a while and are planning on having a few kids down the road (maybe 4?)....so we want plenty of room for us and all our stuff without feeling cramped! We have also had trouble with Tents in the past leaking during rain/thunder storms, so we want a good tent that is going to protect us well from the elements. Any suggestions and input would be much appreciated! Thanks!

The Coleman is my top choice it comes with the stay dry guarantee that others don't have. Also they have a better quality tent and more vendors carry the brand.

The new tents made from nylon will keep you dry for a few seasons. The sun breaks down nylon and after 4 to 5 years seams will start to give way, flooring will crack and zippers fail that's the trade off to light weight good weather protection. They still make (not Coleman) the old style Canvas Tents that last decades but at a higher price and they still smell musty after their first use and still get wet here is a brand I still endorse

Cake Toppers for Campers?
My fiance and I are getting married October 2010. I would like a fun cake topper that resembles our outdoor-sy lifestyle and I think he would like it, too. I've found a couple cake toppers, but the bride is dragging the groom away from the campsite. I don't like that - I'm not like that. So, does anyone know where I can get a cake topper that has a bride & groom by a campfire with a tent or something along those lines?? If I can't find one, I may just have to make one myself.
