hi iv bought a trailer tent with a tear in which i will repair but would like to know how to clean it up and with what to freshen the colour on the canvas thanks malc

I need a gift idea for an avid mountain hiker and camper. He doesn't rock climb, just scrambles. He hikes to remote places and camps, usually 2-3 day hikes. He has all the basics (good quality) backpack, basic Garmin GPS, tent, poles, boots, first aid kit, etc. So I need an idea that goes beyond those basics.

My cherished Festival Tent of 6 years is now no more! I loved her to bits but she was a mother to erect at the best of times!

I'm now on the hunt for a replacement which can be put up in AN INSTANT!! Any suggestions from experienced campers? I have everything else, just need this essential part!

I'M GOING CAMPING TOMORROW AND ALL THE STORES ARE CLOSED WHRIGHT NOW AND AT THE TIME I'M LEAVING . WHAT CAN I USE INSTEAD? CAN I MAKE MY OWN? I DON'T WANT TO BUY ANYTHING ONLINE! :

There is a cassette tape with a story joke on it. I heard it a long time ago. It has two men stuck in a cabin or tent with no food. At one point, one man feels the other mans dandruff is falling, and making too much noise. Does anyone know what this tape or story is called? I think its from the 80's.
I think the title was something like: two man tent or cabin fever.

I accidentally stuck a tent pole through the fabric mesh screen of a pop-up camper. I don't think sewing up the hole is the best approach. The repair will have to take place while the camper is popped up, as the screen cannot be removed. Advice?

I'm missing the shorter pole from a Eurohike Backpacker tent, although I can't remember how long the original was if I knew that I could probably get a replacement.
The longer one seems to be made up of 6 sections.
Hope someone can help.

Does anybody know where to obtain poles for the original Dragon tent or have one to measure the poles so I can make some.

Now before you give me a generic answer like ebay or walmart...hear me out. I bought an REI QUARTER DOME T1 tent and broke the poles. its a very unique pole configuration, so you cant use any generic pole. I contacted REI but had no luck....where can i find poles for this tent?! does anyone know?? ...thanks in advance
maybe i should add that i no longer have the poles (i threw them out)..and that i didnt purchase it at R.E.I...I bought it on ebay...so i cant exchange it..i dont think
