fan1002525Filling of sleeping bags has a decisive impact on the weight, volume and durability of sleeping bags. Valid through it down for example, but the decision is not so simple. The choice depends on the purpose and place of use, as well as money, we're willing to pay for the purchase. Synthetics are cheaper, less sensitive to moisture, making it easier to maintain. Down is more expensive, warmer and lighter, but sensitive to moisture and therefore more suitable for a dry cold.

DOWN
Goose down is simply the best thermal material that is available. It is easy, has willing to compression and is incredibly warm. As such, the first choice of many alpinists, avanturists and hikers in general. Properly maintained woolliness sleeping bag is very durable product and will be long maintained excellent properties.

Note:
- When moistened, do not take effect until it is dry - this may take a long time .- It is quite expensive (but is very durable)

TYPES OF DOWN
Down sleeping bags are not always the same. This is necessary to know even before the purchase to verify the identity of the down. In principle, the higher the number, the better the heat shields.
So please, for example, the label says 80/20, how much is down pure, and how many skeleton in each feather. The ratio of 90/10 is certainly better than 70/30. Label "cuin" states less flexibility . We know that we do not heat down, but air space, which creates down around us. More flexible down is, the more space and better insulation we have. Thus, for example, cuin 600 is better than cuin 400.

Synthetic fibers
Synthetic fibers are heated even when wet, so this is an excellent sleeping bag in areas where the humidity is increased. Hiking and trekking areas where rain water means the elimination of the activity, such bags are the logical choice.
Synthetic materials are basically plastic fibers. Often they are long fibers that are hollow in order to reduce the weight and the ability to catch more air.
