Before Buying A Sleeping Bag
In the mountains, on treking, traveling or at sea, sleeping bag has a strong impact on the final feeling of the event. Sleeping bags are very diverse and the lying is not always the same lying, it is necessary prior to the purchase to consider the use of anticipation.
Before buying
Think about this before purchasing:
- Temperature levels (comfort). "Comfort" value must meet the minimum night temperature in which we intend to sleep (you can add some security degree). If we are a more "frozen" type, then the preferred value for a few degrees lower than expected
- Convenience. If the bag does not feel comfortable even when we test it, is certainly not the kind we want to have when in nature.
- Loading - DOWN or synthetic. Sleeping bags are filled with woolliness easier (in the same weight as more warm). It also pressed more and more permanent. Synthetic bags also heated wet, dry faster and more easily cleaned. In the same temperature levels cost less than filled with down.
- A form of sleeping bags is essential. Bags in the form of isolated Mummy are the best and therefore ideal for cooler conditions and high altitude use, the rectangular shape, however, offer more space to change position, but less isolated
- Weight
- Volume, when compressed
- Personal feelings (like us cold ...)
